Access Practice Management - Reset multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

If you have misplaced your phone containing your Authenticator, you can get the Access Practice Management system Administrator user to reset your MFA or generate a temporary verification code using following steps

Reset MFA

  1. At the top right of Access Practice Management, click on Setup.

  2. In the Quick Find box, type Users, then select Users from the search results.

  3. Locate and click on the user having the issue.

  4. Select the authenticator that shows the word disconnect, then click Disconnect.

  5. Ask the user to log in and follow the prompts to set a new MFA.

Generate Temporary Verification code

  1. At the top right of Access Practice Management, click on Setup.

  2. In the Quick Find box, type Users, then select Users from the search results.

  3. Locate and click on the user having the issue.

  4. Find the Temporary Verification Code and click Generate.

  5. Make a note of the code and pass on to your user to use when next logging in.


Important: The temporary verification code generation will need to be completed every 24 hours until the device is located or a replacement device becomes available for the user.
